Always love Victoria for all the tourism it offers, although I'm frozen here I love going to the hose and carriage, the double decker bus, hanging at the fisherman's wharf and of course whale watching.
One of my most cherished memories of the 2010 Winter Olympics hosted in Vancouver is the thousands upon thousands of citizens and visitors who gathered and celebrated our athletes' accomplishments on Granville Street in Downtown Vancouver. Almost eight years later, I can still recall how loudly proud Canadians, wearing face paint and dressed in red and white like we do on Canada Day, were cheering. It was the sound that the whole world heard and it came from Downtown Vancouver.
The Downtown core of Ottawa is always bursting with life. This past summer, as Ottawa celebrated Canada150, it put on a spectacular show including a fire breathing mechanical dragon and spider. Another memory to add to the list of why I love Downtown Ottawa. #iBelongDowntown because it leaves me feeling fulfilled and excited!
The Downtown core is always evolving and diversifying. The people that work, live, and visit Downtown Halifax – especially tourists – can treat themselves to new and exciting experiences or enjoy long-standing services. Downtown is somewhere anyone can go and feel welcomed. I belong Downtown because everyone does!
