Two of my absolute favourite places to go are the Seaport Farmers Market and the Black Market. Amazing people and such a feel good experience Always lifts me up when I'm feeling down to visit these places. I also love the World Tea House. It's important to support local businesses. I love downtown Halifax.
My earliest memory of downtown Saskatoon is arguably my fondest memory since it set the stage for all the fun and adventures I've had here. As a five year old, my older cousin Marcella got married, and she and her husband asked me to be their ring bearer. We were limo-ed to photos after the ceremony in Mendel Conservatory and on to the main ballroom at the Old Sheraton (now Hilton Garden Inn).
A few years ago, our business suffered a fire, just as the holiday season was kicking off. It could have been devastating for us and our business. But we made it through the experience and emerged with a strong sense of gratitude and appreciation for our Downtown business community. We were overwhelmed by the kindness, support and encouragement from our neighbours on our street.
