I belong downtown because that is where the action is.... the great food, the great entertainment, the great shopping, lots of things to do. All these things bring out the great people... and I love people.
In downtown Halifax there is an abundance of great restaurants. I love seafood. Nova Scotia is known for their great fresh seafood.
Downtown Halifax has lots of great entertainment. From shows at the Casino and Scotia Bank Center to exhibits at the museums all located downtown.
There are a lot of great shops downtown as well. You will find lots of unique items.
Lots of cool things to do while you are visiting downtown Halifax as well. Take a ferry ride to another great downtown... Downtown Dartmouth. Walk the waterfront, take a bicycle built for two, ride on a boat, or ride the segways.
There is always something going on downtown. Buskers, Canada Day Celebrations, Tall Ships, Volleyball tournament, skate the oval both in the winter and the summer, walk Point Pleasant park, visit museums like Citadel Hill and Maritime Museum or just walk through Point Pleasant Park.
By doing any of these things you will find lots of great people. Halifax was voted the least snobbiest city in Canada. Experience the great Maritime downtown of Halifax.
