I moved to Halifax in 2010 from Ontario.  I had always dreamed of living somewhere I could see the ocean everyday.  I fell in love. Coming from a small sheltered town, downtown Halifax opened my eyes and my heart. Halifax made me more accepting, more trusting, more loving and taught me it was ok to be myself.  7 years later Halifax is my forever home.  It stood by me as I came out and I will forever have my heart in downtown.  Thank you Halifax! 

My husband and I moved from the suburbs when our children left home. We live minutes away from City Hall and overlook Victoria Park. We have a shared space at Innovation Works. We LOVE walking downtown...

I moved to Toronto in 2012. I wasn't sure I'd like it. I worried it's be too loud, too busy, too polluted. But since living here I've developed on amazing group of friends that make me feel loved and supported.I can proudly say Toronto feels like home.

My grandfather, Aeo Hertzman, was an immigrant to Canada who after a number of years had become a successful entrepreneur. He owned a men's clothing store along Young st. and Queen st. call UNITED CLOTHING STORES.

What I love most about this city is that it's a tourist town. And that means that everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the city! It also means that there is always something new and exciting to see & enjoy, such as a new beach, a new restaurant, a new golf course or a new marine where you can admire all the boats and yachts!

To me living downtown means community; it means embracing all people - no matter how different. I live in a downtown high-rise that has been in the news a lot in the summer of 2017. After one of our neighbours was assaulted, all of us tenants came together.
